More Strength. More Possibilities. We are introducing a +5 kilograms payload increase and more optimized movements. This update increases the lifting capacity to 25 kg, introduces more precise control over high-speed processes, and creates additional collaboration opportunities in the same compact footprint.
When utilizing the top lift position, the increased payload for the UR20 will allow for more productivity solutions without the need for larger or additional cobots.
The increased payload will be available with the launch of PolyScope 5.19.

While payload and reach are certainly important factors in choosing a cobot, there are other features that define a modern cobot: accessibility, space consumption, deployment options, software features, and sustainability. The UR20 meets all of this criteria while offering the longest reach and heaviest payload capabilities of all the UR cobots.
The UR20 is built to support you in tasks where lifting heavy payloads over a long reach is a basic requirement. At faster speeds, the UR20 comes with superior motion control to ensure smooth and precise movements at the same time.
To support your need to automate processes in your existing work floor, the UR20 comes in a lightweight design and small footprint that can be installed almost anywhere. This cobot is versatile and will enable you to automate applications from material handling to welding.

True payload performance Future-proof your facility with a cobot which enables you to grow with your tasks. When requiring to lift heavy objects over the maximum distance, do not limit yourself by the way your end-effector is mounted. If the objects require a change of how they are being lifted, resulting a shift in the center of gravity, the UR20 will support you in this change.

Safety With increased payload, enhanced speed and reach capabilities, the safety of the operator is always our number one priority. With the goal of building a collaborative robot, our engineers devoted hours into the development of our safety functions. The result of their effort was the creation of benchmarks for safety when working with collaborative, industrial robots today.

Fast deployment The out-of-box experience for an untrained operator to unpack the cobot, mount it, and program the first simple task is typically less than an hour.
Space saving Our cobot's small footprint opens opportunities to automate tasks in existing manufacturing setups where floorspace is often set and at a premium.
Power consumption Automating tasks gives you the possibility to run tasks autonomously without constant monitoring of your employees. In addition, UR cobots use less electricity than traditional industrial robots.
Collaborative and safe All UR cobots come with built-in safety features, including force-sensing technology and collision detection. These features allow our cobots to work alongside you without the need for safety barriers or cages, increasing productivity and promoting a safe working environment. |
Motion control The UR20 received software enhancements to reduce the stress on the mechanics of the arm and the new joint architecture to a minimum. Take advantage of the cobots full speed range and accelerations despite lifting the maximum payload at maximum reach. |
